Hello! I’m Charshea Green, founder and owner of Royals Developmental Milestones Center and I believe that children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future. Every child needs a champion and I choose to be one of those important figures in a child's life as well as a key figure in the lives of families. I enjoy being a part of children developmental stages and helping children grow to be lifelong learners. Royals DMC philosophy is that children learn through purposeful play. As a Play-based program we believe that children are thinkers, reflecting about their world. They learn how to navigate the world in a way that they can understand and process. Through play children can develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments. All regular fees WILL be charged for holidays, staff vacation days and staff professional development days. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, we will be closed the previous Friday. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, we will be closed the Monday following.Royals DMC also follows the school district’s guidelines surrounding closures due to inclement weather conditions.
Royals DMC provide quality childcare services for children aged 6wks-13yrs old. Our mixed aged classroom puts learning at the center and understands that children learn and explore at their own pace. Contact us to learn more about our infant and toddler program, two year old program, preschool program and school age program.
We acknowledge that all children are capable of learning and develop at individual rates. We plan activities according to the age and developmental level of each child in care and provide children with a variety of experiences. The daily activities include a flexible balance of indoor and outdoor activities, active and quiet play, and individual and group activities. The activities provided will expose the children to a variety of cultures and will encourage the children to use and develop language and literacy skills, use large and small muscles, think creatively, learn new ideas and skills, and participate in imaginative play. The activities are designed to provide protection from excess fatigue and over stimulation and to ensure that each child can be successful and feel good about himself or herself. Royals DMC plans to utilize experience learning and encourage skill based learning through play, while nurturing a child’s social-emotional, physical, language and cognitive development.
Children enrolled in Royal‘s DMC will be provided with nutritional meals including a balanced breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and or evening snack. Menus that meet the CACFP nutritional requirements by the USDA, are posted and available for review.
Ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy environment can help to promote physical, social, and emotional health throughout a community. That is why here at Royals DMC your child’s welfare is always our top priority. Royals DMC provide a safe, loving and healthy environment where children can learn and grow without being exposed to any significant health or safety hazards. Our program is sanitized daily, practices safety measures and communicates daily through family engagement concerning the needs and interests of child(ren). We prevent the spread of germs through proper hand-washing. We do not care for mildly sick children. We ensure a safe and secured environment to minimize incidents, accidents or harm. We are committed to protecting the health and safety of our children, families, staff and the community that we serve.
The program supports physical skill development in healthy physical activity. Daily unrestricted free play is available indoors and outdoors weather permitting. Daily physical activity is offered for at least 60 minutes, active exploration is offered and each area offers different play opportunities. Children, including infants and toddlers, will go outdoors daily when weather permits, so we ask that all children be dressed appropriately for the weather. The children may be kept indoors during inclement weather.
Royals DMC participates in field trips and other off-premise activities, including walks around the neighborhood and to nearby parks.These field trips are carefully planned around the monthly curriculum and designed to enhance the learning experience for children. Parents are always welcomed to chaperone or come along to accompany their child/ren on field trips. Permission slips are required for each child to participate in field trips.
Royals DMC provides safe and orderly transportation services to children enrolled in our childcare program. We currently transport our childcare families from school, to the childcare facility or their homes. There is an additional service fee for this service. Hours of service regulations may differ from the childcare operational hours. The behavior policy also applies to our transportation services as the childcare vehicle is an extension of the childcare program. It is Royals DMC discretion to travel under circumstances related to severe weather condition. Please contact us for more information on our transportation guidelines, requirements and policy.
Children's behavior will be guided by setting clear limits or rules for children. Undesirable behavior will be redirected to another activity. Children will be given a wide variety of age-appropriate activities to choose from and will be given the attention they need before they demand it. All school agers are required to sign a behavior agreement with the childcare program. Consequences in persistent severe behavioral problems will result in disciplinary actions that may lead up to termination of the childcare program. Behavior management will be for the purpose of helping children develop self-control, self-esteem, and respect for the rights of others. Our program practices meditation and mindfulness. A time-out will be used to remove a child from a situation that has gotten out of control before a child can hurt him/herself or others. Time-outs will never exceed three minutes and will not be used with children under three years of age.
We accept children for drop-in care if prior enrollment arrangements have been made and space is available. Drop-in care is an arrangement where children attend on an intermittent, unscheduled basis. Drop-in child care centers are used by parents and guardians who need last-minute, emergency, or simply occasional help. Our Drop-In care is set at an hourly rate. Royals DMC permits a minimum of 2 hours per day and a maximum of 12 hours per day for drop in care. Please note that drop in care rates can exceed much higher than weekly tuition charges.
All tuition fees are non refundable and due prior to the start of services. Royals DMC will operate in the childcare programs operational hours 6a.m-10p.m. Dropping off early or picking up later than contracted hours will result in additional fees occurring up to $1 per minute in-which must be paid the start of the next care day to continue services.

When you’ve decided your child is old enough and developmentally ready to enroll in a childcare program, you’ll want to find a program that meet all your needs. Royals DMC pride ourselves in aligning our program to meet the needs of children, their families and the community we serve. The first tour is virtual! If you would like to move forward in the enrollment process we will schedule an in person visit. During your scheduled visit, please take in consideration these important factors when considering our childcare program. Royals DMC is safe and clean, the children are generally well and happy, licensing requirements are strictly followed, policies and procedures are established, all staff members are highly qualified, the program is cost efficient and conveniently located to fit your needs.
